Zainab bint Khuzaima, The Mother of the poor people:
Zainab bint Khuzaima was prophet Mohammad’s fifth wife. After Khadija, Sawdah, Aisha and Hafsa, prophet Mohammad married her. She married prophet Mohammad a few months after he married Hafsa bint Omar. Before marrying prophet Mohammad, Zainab bint Khuzaima had been married to a previous migrant martyr. When prophet Mohammad proposed to Zainab bint Khuzaima, , Zainab agreed at once. Prophet Mohammad paid her a dowry of four hundred gold dirhams. nevertheless Zainab bint Khuzaima lived for a few months after her marriage. After her previous husband had died, prophet Mohammad married Zainab bint Khuzaima out of pity.
Zainab bint Khuzaima didn’t cause jealousy:
Islamic and the Holy Quran studies assure us that Zainab bint Khuzaima was too old to cause jealousy. Therefore Hafsa and Aisha didn’t worry much when prophet Mohammad married Zainab bint Khuzaima. Zainab bint Khuzaima was kind and generous. That is why historians describe her as “the mother of the poor and orphans.” Zainab bint Khuzaima was also called Zainab bint Jahsh. Zainab bint Khuzaima was thirty years old when she died. It was a great honor for Zainab bint Khuzaima to get the title of the mother of the believers. Also, prophet Mohammad led the funeral prayer over zainab’s dead body. Eventually, Zainab bint Khuzaima was buried at al-Baqi’ graveyard.

Zainab bint Khuzaima was a kind and generous woman. prophet mohammad married Zainab bint Khuzaima; ot for the pleasures of marriage, but rather out of pity after she had lost her previous husband in a battle for the cause of Islam. Zainab bint Khuzaima was truly a good muslim. Zainab cared a lot for her religious duties. Bint Khuzaima often went fasting. She prayed a lot. Zainab bint Khuzaima was a charitable good woman. She spent much money on helping the poor and the orphans. She really deserved the title of the mother of the poor and the needy. She also deserved the title of the mother of the believers.
Prophet mohammad’s marriage issue:
Prophet Mohammad had more than ten wives. It is true that prophet Mohammad was a complete man of flesh and blood. However, his first marriage lasted for more than twenty years. His first wife was Khadija who was forty when he married her. When Khadija died, prophet Mohammad was about fifty years old. After Khadija, prophet Mohammad was a widower with four daughters. Moreover, he lived in Madina. Therefore, he needed someone to look after his daughter. Also, prophet Mohammad wanted to strengthen the social ties with his companions like Omar and Abu Bakr. Marrying Aisha and Hafsa helped a lot with the cause of islam. prophet Mohammad married elderly women for different reasons.
The big burden of supporting so many wives:
A woman is a woman in all times and places. Every woman wants to have a husband of her own. This caused prophet Mohammad some trouble. However, such virtuous wives were very important for reporting the slightest details of the prophet’s domestic life. Also, they provided good examples for Muslim daughters, wives and women in general over ages and worldwide.
